Araya Converters

Araya uses a document format independent representation - XLIFF Format.

We offer several converters. The following document formats are currently supported:

XML (e.g. SVG, DocBook, WinWord XML Format; configurable)
WinWord doc (on Windows or with installed Open Office) and docx format
xls, ppt (with installed Open Office)
OpenOffice
HTML
Text
PHP
RTF
SGML (depending on complexity)
JavaScript

The converters can also be purchased on a standalone basis They support both conversion directions - to and from XLIFF. The converters are delivered as a jar file and can easily be integrated into a variaty of applications.

The converters contains an automatic document format detection. Depending on the document format they can be parametrized. In addition a segmentation is provided. This can be done on paragraph or segment basis.

Explanation:

Native	XLIFF Conversion independent of operating system.
MO	Windows MS Office - requires Windows and MS Office installation; uses MS Office Tools for converting old Office formats to dox docx. Either MO or OO option can be used. This is configured in a properties file.
OO	Windows/Unix: Open Office Installation - for all operating systems, which support Open Office and have Open Office installed; OO is used as a service for conversion. Either MO or OO option can be used. This is configured in a properties file.
